L’Hotel Gitan has the flexibility to accommodate your special events and group functions. Large lunch, dinner and cocktail functions are welcome throughout the week in our event space, while more intimate meals can be hosted in our two smaller private spaces.
The Booth
Our spectacular semi-private booth is available to be booked out for parties of 4 for lunch or dinner. A room within a room, this is situated in our main dining room ensuring you are still part of the action of the restaurant while retaining exclusivity. As the reclaimed reception from the original Hotel Max, this room features the original leadlight windows and Art Deco styling.
The Copper Suite
Lying just to the side of the main dining room, the Copper Suite features one of the highlights of the venue, the hand picked custom redwood dining table sourced directly by the Reymond family from Moama. With copper accents and the mesh wine cupboard separating you from the main dining room, this private dining room can be booked for groups of up to 12.
Alfie’s Bar
Overlooking Commercial Road, Alfie’s Bar is perfect for your next dinner or cocktail event. With a capacity of 36 seated and 85 standing, this space retains the original pub feel with an elegant update. This space is fully equipped with private bar, staff and facilities, with audio visual equipment available on request.

Menu
The menu at L’Hotel Gitan has been designed with a focus on shared dishes, and this extends to the menus offered for our special events. We can cater for groups of up to 8 using our a la carte menu alone, but for all larger groups a set menu is required.
The development of our canapé menus has been overseen by Jacques Reymond, and offers a range of options for your next event.
Wine
Featuring a range to compliment our European/French menu, our wine list offers something for every taste. For groups in the Booth and Private Dining Room, selections can be made on the day of the event.
In our Function Space all wines must be pre-selected from our wine list or a beverage package selected to ensure your private bar can be stocked for your event.
Catering

Terms & Conditions
All group bookings (parties of 8 or more) require a credit card on file to confirm the reservation.
All groups of 10 and above are subject to a 6% discretionary service charge.
